What To Do This Weekend in Monterey & Santa Cruz Counties

Back-to-school season is here, and this weekend sends summer off in style. Friday brings free community fun in Castroville, an extraordinary opening night of handcrafted folk art sculptures in Oldtown Salinas, and the Night Market 831 in Sand City. Saturday, the Back to School Expo fills Del Monte Center with free activities, school resources, and goody bags for families. Sunday, the beloved San Juan Day street festival takes over historic downtown San Juan Bautista all day long. Here’s what we’re pointing families toward this week.
