Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and California’s Great America have unveiled their 2026 operating calendars, featuring expanded seasonal events, live entertainment, immersive décor, and new limited-time food and beverage offerings.
Discovery Kingdom: Year-Round Fun and Returning Seasonal Favorites
Discovery Kingdom will continue year-round operations in 2026 and bring back several of its most popular seasonal events:
Oktoberfest (Select dates Sept. 19–Nov. 1)
A fall celebration filled with craft beer, hearty German fare, traditional games, and live entertainment.
Tricks and Treats (Select dates Sept. 26–Nov. 1)
This 100% family-friendly Halloween event expands park-wide and into the evening for the first time. Guests can expect whimsical décor, fun activities, seasonal treats, themed drinks, and plenty of candy.
WinterFest (Select dates Nov. 27–Jan. 3)
Millions of sparkling lights, festive displays, holiday entertainment, family activities, and classic winter comfort foods create a magical seasonal experience.

California’s Great America: Celebrating 50 Seasons of Fun
California’s Great America will mark its 50th season in 2026 with a schedule packed with rides, entertainment, and family-friendly attractions.
California’s Great America Operating Season (Select dates Mar. 28–Sept. 7)
Guests can enjoy more than 60 attractions, including iconic roller coasters and Peanuts-themed rides and entertainment for younger visitors.
South Bay Shores Operating Season (Select dates May 23–Sept. 7)
Admission to the seaside-themed waterpark—featuring drop slides, tube slides, and a family lagoon—is included with park entry.
