Special Admission Programs
Museums for All (EBT/SNAP Benefits)
Museum-goers with EBT cards (SNAP/CalFresh) can access free admission for up to four people under the Museums for All program. The EBT cardholder must be present with a matching photo ID and the main entrance.
This is an excellent opportunity for low-income families to enjoy the aquarium at no cost.
Local Resident Program
Locals can visit for free September 2-14, 2025. A limited number of free tickets is available to Monterey County residents. All guests age 18 and over must present a photo ID. If the photo ID does not include a Monterey County address, guests must also present proof of residency. To get more information and to reserve tickets.
Why It Helps to Plan Ahead
- Advance ticket purchase ensures entry—walk-in tickets are unavailable, so buying online early helps avoid any disappointment.
- Take advantage of discounts and free days if eligible (EBT, local programs).
- Timing matters—visiting on weekdays, or arriving right at opening or in the afternoon, can help you enjoy the exhibits with fewer crowds.
