Rosebuds Preschool

Rosebuds Preschool is a licensed, home-based, Waldorf-inspired farm school nestled in the coastal forests of Monterey. The program offers children handmade toys and high-quality natural art materials. Its sun-bathed classroom opens onto a quarter-acre orchard with vegetable and flower gardens, blackberry vines, and friendly farm animals. Rosebuds Preschool provides a full-day program that includes whole-food meals and snacks, with two-, three-, and five-day enrollment options available.

Our Savior Preschool

At Our Savior Preschool, children learn and grow through indoor and outdoor play, one-on-one instruction, group circle time, and hands-on table activities. Students enjoy praying and singing together, learning Bible stories, attending weekly chapel with the pastor, and exploring letters, numbers, reading readiness, and art in a caring Christian environment.

Various schedules are available, including:

Preschool Only – 8:30 – 11:30 am

Available:

  • 2 days per week (T,Th)
  • 3 days per week (M,W,F)
  • 5 days per week

Part Time – (as early as) 7:30 am (everyone arrives by 8:30 am) to noon (This schedule includes lunch, which is brought in by individual students.)

Available: 2, 3, and 5 days per week

Full Time – (as early as) 7:30 am, (everyone arrives by 8:30 am) to (as late as) 5:30 pm –pick up beginning anytime after 2:00 pm (end of nap time)

Available: 2, 3, and 5 days per week

Our Director will get back to you as soon as possible. Registration materials are available in early February, (to be picked up by appointment with the director) and enrollment begins on March 1st (or the Monday following.) Our classes are often filled fairly early after enrollment begins. We look forward to getting to know you!

Monterey Peninsula Unified School District Preschool

Fee-based programs avalable in Marina,  Monterey, and Seaside. Income-based programs in Seaside, Marina, and Monterey.

MPUSD offers fee-based preschool programs in Marina, Monterey, and Seaside, along with income-based programs in the same communities. MPUSD Early Childhood Education invites families to participate in engaging parent/child playgroups, hands-on learning activities, and supportive parent workshops for children ages 0–3. The program provides family-centered guidance to help little ones build strong developmental skills while empowering parents with practical tools for everyday learning. Offerings include: parent/child playgroups; positive parenting strategies; hands-on skill-building; arts and crafts; language development; and parent trainings and workshops.

Great Beginnings Preschool

Great Beginnings is licensed to provide care for 57 children per day. Families may choose half-day or full-day schedules. Mixed-age classrooms combine children ages two through five, allowing younger children to learn from older peers while older children develop nurturing and leadership skills. The daily routine blends self-directed exploration during free-choice time with more structured, teacher-led small-group activities.

Monterey Bay Christian School

Pinnacle Coastal Valley Academy

The Pinnacle Academy offers an independent learning atmosphere which differs from the comprehensive high school setting. Students meet with a teacher for one-hour a week and then students take their courses online. In school courses are also offered where the students are given assignments from their textbooks.
