Big Sur State Parks

Keira Silver is the intern for the Monterey Bay Parent Magazine. She grew up in the Monterey area and is a freshman at California State University Monterey Bay, where she is studying humanities, communications, and journalism. Keira is also a photographer for the California State Parks Monterey District Natural Resource Program and a volunteer through the Snowy Plover Guardian Program. She continually supports the Monterey Peninsula as a volunteer for Carmel Cares, where she helps clean up Carmel City Beach and assists with marketing initiatives for the nonprofit. During her free time, Keira enjoys reading, writing, hiking, biking, and visiting national parks.
