Turkish Arts & Culture Festival

Experience the 26th Annual Monterey Turkish Arts & Cultural Festival, a free, family-friendly celebration of Turkish culture at Custom House Plaza in historic downtown Monterey.

Enjoy two days of live Turkish music, traditional folk dancing, mesmerizing belly dancing, and the rare opportunity to witness the Whirling Dervishes perform on both festival days. Discover Turkish traditions through Ebru (water marbling) art demonstrations, Turkish carpet weaving, artisan exhibits, and cultural displays.

Savor authentic Turkish cuisine, including Döner Kebap, Adana Kebap, Börek, Baklava, Simit, and the famous Maraş Dondurması (Turkish ice cream). Don’t miss traditional Turkish coffee, Turkish Delight (Lokum), and the chance to experience the centuries-old tradition of Turkish coffee fortune reading.

Families can enjoy a variety of kid-friendly activities, including face painting, puppet making, coloring, folk dancing, and games, making this a fun and educational event for all ages. Also held August 30.
