Downtown Salinas Earth Day Green Up

Pitch in to help improve and ‘Green Up’ Downtown! We’ll be cleaning and ‘greening’ starting at 9am – providing compostable trash bags, gloves and buckets, plus brooms, dust bins, pickers and other tools to ensure Downtown looks awesome and green!

Continental Breakfast (bagels, pan dulce, coffee, hot chocolate, and orange juice) donated by local eateries and water are provided. Special gifts for all participants, live music concert to ‘Green-Up’ with, and much more. We’ll be creating ‘green’ art, too!

Local professional artists will mentor arts students to create a temporary, time-based chalk mural [that will fade naturally over time and not harm the environment] with the official Earth Day theme of Our Power, Our Planet™ and how this relates to our Valley.

We’ve partnered with Foolish Times and California Green Business Coalition to install pet poop bag dispensers, cigarette butt holders, and even native flower plantings. Sign up today help clean and GREEN up the heart of Salinas: our beautiful Downtown!
