Emily Alonso grew up in the Los Angeles area and is a recent graduate from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California, where she studied English. Emily is a Content Writer and Creator for a sustainable women’s clothing boutique, De Mita, located in Los Angeles and online. During her time in college, she was a volunteer instructor for an educational club on campus called Sprout Up where local elementary school students were able to learn more about the environment. She worked as a writing tutor at her campus’ Writing and Learning Center to provide further support for students in their studies and assignments. In her senior year, Emily was involved in the Mustang Mentorship Program as a mentor for a high school senior from an underrepresented background, offering guidance and advice for her mentee. During her free time, Emily enjoys drawing, writing, dancing, nature, listening to music and traveling.
