About the Event:

Please join the Junior League of Monterey County in celebrating and showcasing women’s voices at LUNAFEST — a virtual film festival spotlighting short films by and about women. LUNAFEST offers our community an opportunity to witness and reflect on the vast diversity of women’s stories and perspectives.

This year’s festival has a rich and emotional collection of films, including a story about a neuroscientist speaking up for women in science everywhere, a young girl’s search to reunite with her mother after crossing the U.S. border, a behind-the-scenes view of the Women’s Euro-Arabian North Pole Expedition, and many more! VIP Ticket $50.00*

Join us for a live event (via a personalized link with a filmmaker Q&A) with a beverage and movie snacks! Includes a bottle of wine and snacks, which are available for locals in the Monterey Peninsula area (sorry, we can’t mail the wine). Tickets for this option must be purchased by May 1, to allow time for delivery/pick-up.

The seven films and recorded livestream Q&A will be available afterwards in a Video on Demand format for 48 hours through 5:30 PM PDT on May 17, 2021. Approximate Run Times: All 7 films - 90 minutes. Q&A - 30 minutes.
