World Tattoo Events (WTE) is the world’s largest international portal, completely dedicated to the amazing world of Tattoo Conventions. WTE features 800+ of the major tattoo conventions, expos and festivals worldwide.

HISTORY

In the last 3 decades, society has been immensely influenced by the growing popularity of the tattoo culture. Small scale, tattoo gatherings (attended mostly by bikers and outcasts) which started in the 70’s, have now evolved into mega-events attracting thousands of tattoo enthusiast and professionals: enter the world of modern Tattoo Conventions.

Despite the incredible popularity of these tattoo events, back in 2010, there was still no website with a really complete list of tattoo conventions. So Alex Van Dutch (aka Alex Lu’), a web developer frequently visiting tattoo conventions, started building an online tattoo conventions calendar, with the idea of helping himself (and eventually others) to keep track of the best tattoo events. A beta version of WTE was published online in April 2010.

Fast forward to 2016 and what started as a side web project, evolved into one of the biggest tattoo websites online, featuring over 800 tattoo conventions worldwide.

MISSION

WTE’s mission is to become the best possible online platform for the entire tattoo conventions industry, helping tattoo professionals and tattoo fans to experience tattoo events in the best possible way.
