Pacific Grove Recreation Preschool Program

The City of Pacific Grove Recreation Department offers a preschool program for children ages 3-5 years. Our program is built with the understanding that children learn best when they are provided with meaningful opportunities for play and interaction with their classmates in a supportive setting. The goal of our program is to meet the individual academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of each child by providing a play-based curriculum and a safe and enriching learning environment. Developmentally appropriate activities include art, sensory, math, science, music and movement, and outdoor play. Program Requirements: 3-5 years of age. Child must be 3 years of age and “potty trained” by the first date of attendance.

Preschool Calendar: August-May (program follows the PGUSD academic calendar)

Registration Process: We will start accepting names for the 2024-2025 school year on March 28th at 9:00 am. To place your child’s name on our registration list, please call 831-648-3135 and leave message with your name, child’s name, child’s date of birth, and a contact number. Names will be added to the registration list according to the time stamped date of your voicemail.
