City of Salinas 9-11 20th Anniversary Remembrance

The Salinas Fire Department and Police Services will hold a ceremony to mark the 20-year anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States. Please join us in honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice, as we continue to never forget their bravery and honor. The public is invited to attend.
Fire Department Chief, Michele Vaughn, said in a statement, "As we mark the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, the Salinas Fire Department invites the community to pause for a moment of remembrance, in honor of those who died, as well as to honor the courage of those who participated in rescue efforts on that tragic day."
Assistant Police Chief, Roberto Filice said in a statement, "The Salinas Police Service and American law enforcement agencies pledged to remain in a state of readiness to protect and defend our communities. Salinas Police Officers took an oath to support and defend our community because we believe in and hold dear freedom, service, peace, and the American way of life for our families and our community."
On Sept. 11, Salinas Police and Fire Departments, will gather to remember the attack on our country, the lives lost, and the promise made to never forget. We invite members of the community, local fire and law enforcement agencies to join us.
