AIM Youth Mental Health is sponsoring a Youth Mental Health training from the National Council on Mental Wellbeing facilitated by Mental Health Connect.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and any other citizen how to identify, understand, and respond to an adolescent (ages 12-18) who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.
Program participants commit to completing a 2 hour, self-paced, independent study module followed by two, 2.5 hour, online, instructor-led training on Monday, April 25, 6:00 – 8:30 PM and Wednesday, April 27, 6:00 – 8:30 PM PST.
Spaces are limited to 30 participants. The course fee is $85 with discounts and scholarships available.
