Making Cordage from Native Plants in Carmel Valley

The oldest evidence of handmade string dates to about 50,000 years ago in a Neanderthal cave. This hands-on program will allow you to make rope and string from local native plants. Be prepared to get your clothes a little damp and dirty. Instructor: Blake Bufford, MPRPD Volunteer. Ages 12-Adult. Garland Park Visitor Center, Carmel Valley.
