One week until
Point Sur Lighthouse‘s Living History Day. An open house celebrating Point Sur Lighthouse’s first lighting in August 1889. Arrive anytime between 12 pm-2 pm, the park closes at 3:30.
Living History Day includes:
- Costumed lighthouse keepers & wives
- Transport to and from the top of Pt Sur
- An opportunity to climb the lighthouse
- A scavenger hunt
- Pre-electric-era crafts and games
- Picnicking (Bring your own food)
- Visiting inside historic buildings
- Viewing nearby marine mammals
Cost:
$25 for adults, $15 for children 6-17 (all proceeds go toward the restoration of Pt Sur’s historic structures)
How to get there:
Point Sur Historic Park, Mile post 54.1, 19 mi south of Rio Rd in Carmel, 3 miles north of Andrew Molera State Park
