City of Marina Tree Lighting

Marina Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration at Vince DiMaggio Park. This free family event is held the first Friday in December.

Co-hosted with the City of Marina, the tree lighting is an annual tradition that brings the community together in the spirit of the holidays. The event is held on the first Friday in December at Vince DiMaggio Park. Every year, the same tree is decorated with lights, and illuminated for the community to celebrate and enjoy during the holidays.

• A 35-40 ft. living evergreen in the park is the designated Christmas tree.
• Donations are used for the ceremony (music, cookies, candy canes, hot drinks, etc.) and new lights for the tree when necessary.
• Santa and Mrs. Claus always make an appearance
• A band plays Christmas music so attendees can sing carols.
• The tree’s elevated location makes the lights visible at night for the remainder of the season.
