The Salinas Public Library has begun offering limited Curbside Pickup and material return services, effective June 22nd.
Community members with an active library card can browse and request library items online at catalog.salinaspubliclibrary.org. Once the request has been received and the item is available, library staff will call or email the patron to schedule a pickup time. Curbside service is currently available at the El Gabilan Library, Monday thru Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
"We are taking small but important steps to reopen the library," say Library & Community Services Director, Kristan Lundquist. "We know the community has missed our services and we are excited to provide this service while still following the County and State guidance. Expect to hear more from us in the coming weeks and months."
To learn more about how Curbside Pickup services works, click here, or watch this video about the new service on our Salinas Public Library YouTube channel in English or Spanish.
During Curbside Pickup service hours, community members can also return currently borrowed library items. All returned materials will be isolated for at least 72 hours before being processed by library staff to ensure that all library items are safe to return for public circulation.
