Monterey County Office of Education, school district superintendents, and charter school directors are taking a safety-first approach and have made the decision to extend the school facility closures through the end of the school year.
Dr. Deneen Guss, Monterey County Superintendent of Schools stressed that school is not over for the year and instead is transitioning to distance learning.
