The Downtown Business District of Pacific Grove presents the first annual Chalk the Block. A sidewalk art competition at Lighthouse Avenue is open to all levels, from beginners to experts. You can sign up online for individuals or teams of up to 4. You'll receive a starter set of chalk, but you can also bring your supplies.
The event day is Saturday, June 24, from 11 am to 3 pm. Judging will be at 2 pm. The theme is "Marine Sanctuary," so start thinking about kelp forests, sharks, tidal pools, mermaids, whales, sea wrack, or whatever fantastic ideas you can come up with!
