Spending time with your children creating crafts is the perfect backdrop for discussing the traditions of Hanukkah. Here are five easy crafts to give your kids a few hours of fun and learning.
Hanukkah Suncatcher
Tissue paper and clear contact paper are all you need to create this cute craft. Cut out the dreidel shape for the kids and then let them lay the colored tissue paper in a pattern they like. Sandwich with more contact paper to seal it and then trim. You could even make small ones and string them together for a beautiful garland. Click for complete instructions.
Colorful Candle Holders
These pretty candle holders are a great craft for older kids. Cut the tissue paper into strips, snip designs into the strips and then wrap around candle holders. Once the candles are lit inside, you'll see a beautiful glow. Click for complete instructions.
Watercolor Dreidels
Once an adult cuts the dreidel shape, kids can go wild coloring them with watercolors (or any medium). Then string them together for a pretty garland. Click for complete instructions.
Easy Star of David Suncatcher Craft
This easy craft uses the same supplies as the dreidel. Once the kids make a few, add yarn for hanging and create a garland. Click for complete instructions.
Hanukkah Tic Tac Toe

The original instructions are for a more elaborate version but you could easily adjust the instructions to make this from cardboard strips glued to a backing. Or just cut the pieces from paper, let the kids play, and toss it once it starts to get ripped. Click for complete instructions.
