We need cover models for the 2023 covers of Monterey Bay Parent Magazine! This contest is your only chance to see your child (or children) on the cover of Monterey Bay Parents Magazine.
The Monterey Bay Parent Magazine staff will choose our favorites and each of those children will be on a cover during the coming year.
CONTEST RULES:
Parents will be able to enter one child, a group of siblings, or parent/grandparent and children. If a group is entered, they will all appear on the cover. Children between the ages of newborn and 15 are eligible to enter.
FAQ's:
1. How do I enter? Fill out the entry form, submit your child's photo digitally, and pay the fee with a credit or debit card. Deadline to enter is November 30 at 11:59 PM.
2. Who is eligible to enter? The contest is open to all families living in Monterey County or Santa Cruz County.
3. How much does it cost to enter? It costs $20 for a single child or $25 for siblings. You may submit one photo only with each entry fee. If you would like your children judged separately rather than as a group, you must submit each child separately and pay a separate fee for each.
4. What type of photo should I submit? Choose a photo that shows the unique features or personality of your child. Photos do not need to be professionally taken. We are looking for clear, close-up photos. Preferably no hat or anything that blocks the face or leaves a shadow. The child should be facing forward (not sideways) with minimal background.
5. Will the photo I submit be used on the cover? No. A photoshoot with Monterey Bay Parent Magazine will be scheduled for each Cover Kid Winner. We are not judging the photography--we are looking for a diverse group for our covers to represent our community.
6. How recent should the photo be? The photo should be taken within three months of the entry date. Keep in mind, we are looking for natural, cute children. This isn't a modeling contest.
7. How will I be notified if my entry is chosen? We will notify finalists by phone and/or email on December 10.
