Archie Visits Monterey Public Library
Did you know the Monterey Public Library has Social Emotional Learning Kits?
Each kit contains a collection of books based around a theme as well as recommendations for more books and online resources. The kits come in clear backpacks and some also have games included.
Archie has been working his way through the kits. He has checked out the kits on Anger, Patience, and Anxiety. He's enjoyed them and I've been impressed with the book selection. They've definitely given me some tools and illustrations to use when helping Archie with big feelings. I've taken note of some strategies to help me with my own emotional regulation as well. You're never too old to learn, right?
