Archie met Santa Claus today! 🎅
Archie went down to montereysoldfishermanswharf this afternoon and watched Santa arrive to Monterey on a princessmontereywhalewatching boat. Archie asked, "How are your reindeer?" and Santa replied, "Rudolph flew me to Santa Cruz this morning and I took the boat over here." 🛥️
This was Archie's first time meeting Santa. He has always declined a photo or interaction with Santa in the past, and I respected his feelings, but this year he was ready and excited! His Christmas wishlist this year is a toy train that makes real steam, an invisibility cloak, a boomerang, and a frisbee.
Before we headed down to the wharf today, Archie made St. Nick a card, and he delivered it to Santa himself. Archie was pleased to hear he's on the Nice List. He asked if Santa ever got presents and what he would like to be given. Santa said that he likes receiving milk and cookies, and that Archie cleaning his bedroom would also be a gift for him. As his dad, a tidy room would be an amazing gift for me too!
After our visit with Santa, we enjoyed the festive decorations and hit all the candy shops on the wharf to see their holiday treats. Archie ordered a scoop of chocolate ice cream because it doesn't matter the weather or time of year, he's always in the mood for ice cream. 😆
The Fisherman's Wharf Association is sponsoring the “7th Annual Christmas on the Wharf” which features free weekend live entertainment including holiday musical and dance performances such as choirs, bands, singer/songwriters, youth dancers, and a variety of singers. We watched several performances before heading home.
Archie asked me recently if Santa Claus is real. I told him that some people believe he his, some believe he isn't, and others are not sure. Archie said he believes Santa is real. 🌟 Santa will be available on the weekends for visits at his Santa House on the Wharf for believers and doubters alike! 😉
