Enjoy these fun and easy St. Patrick’s Day crafts with your kids. These projects use simple supplies you probably already have in your art kit, including construction paper, glue, clear contact paper, and pipe cleaners.
- Rainbow Chain: Cut out strips of colorful paper and glue them together to form a chain. Use green paper for the top strip and draw a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
- Leprechaun Hat: Cut out a circle from green construction paper and a long, thin rectangle for the brim. Cut out a buckle from yellow paper and glue it to the front of the hat. Bend the hat into a cone shape and glue the brim to the bottom.
- Shamrock Wreath: Cut out several shamrock shapes from green paper and glue them together in a circle. Add a ribbon for hanging.
- Clover Handprint: Paint your child’s hand green and press it onto white paper. Use a paintbrush to add stems and turn the handprint into a clover.
- Rainbow Mobile: Cut out strips of colorful paper and glue them together to form a rainbow. Cut out small clouds from white paper and glue them to the bottom of the rainbow. Attach the rainbow to a string and hang it up.
- Pot of Gold: Cut out a pot shape from black paper and draw a gold coin on a yellow paper. Glue the coin to the inside of the pot and add a rainbow if you like.
- Shamrock Man: Cut out several shamrock shapes from green paper and glue them together to form a man. Add a hat and face if desired.
- Leprechaun Puppet: Draw a leprechaun on a piece of paper and cut it out. Glue it to a popsicle stick or straw to make a puppet.
- Rainbow Sun Catcher: Cut out a circle from clear contact paper. Cut out strips of colorful tissue paper and stick them to the contact paper in a rainbow pattern. Hang the sun catcher in a window.
- Pipe Cleaner Shamrocks: Twist green pipe cleaners into shamrock shapes. Add a stem if desired.
