Meet the Millers! Originally from the West Coast, Dan, Amy, Evan, and Ella love being closer to family in Monterey. Dan is originally from Los Angeles and Amy is from Vancouver, BC, Canada. They have been married 13 years, have two children, nine-year-old Ella and four-year-old Evan.
Dan has been in the military for 19 years as a helicopter pilot. He started his career flying in the Army and now serves as a search and rescue pilot and aircraft maintenance manager in the Coast Guard.
The Millers are currently living in Monterey while Dan attends the Naval Post Graduate School to earn an MBA. As a family, they have lived in Fayetteville, NC, New Orleans, LA, Jacksonville, FL, Clearwater, FL, and now Monterey. The Millers will likely be moving to the east coast in early 2020.
Amy shared that the family has “really enjoyed the beautiful weather in Monterey and exploring the outdoors.” Dan is an avid surfer and can be found at Asilomar Beach before school. Amy loves walking the Monterey Rec Trail and Carmel Beach in addition to attending yoga.
As a family, the Millers have enjoyed Lovers Point, Garrapata State Park, Point Lobos, Monterey Bay Aquarium and camping, especially in Big Sur and Lake Tahoe!
When asked what they will miss the most about Monterey the Miller’s said, “the outdoor adventures in the cooler climate, attending Shoreline Community Church and Monterey Bay Christian School.”
